I utter a big "phew" of relief (at avoidance of further internet wank) along with my apology, and a congrats on both the shortlisting and on your own continuing coming-out process.
More that the guys were assuming that all the women slash writers were straight, even Chip Delany, who will be talked to severely if he ever makes that claim again where I can read it. I think Delany would find some common ground with you as he did close readings and assumed certain absences in sexual passages meant queer sex (as in no breast in Hart Crane). I've sent him links to some of the things you've posted, don't know if he had time to read them.
