I bought a used 24-85mm f.2.8-4 lens for a new walking around general zoom and sold the 18-70mm lens when I went to Penn Camera Springfield to pick up a new 80-200mm f2.8 IF internal zoom lens and went to Penn Tysons and then to a camera store in Burke I'd never been to before that had the lens plate that Tysons didn't have. The Burke store is a hole in the mall that had better prices than the Penn stores, at least on some things. The guy there had just gotten in used Leica kit and I had one of those camera and lens fondling moments with two screwmounts and an M2. If I could trade all my other film gear. The Leica are just fantastically well made, and the screwmounts are insanely pretty (IIIf red dial and a III g). The III g was in the better shape of the two, but they both looked okay. I cannot buy any more camera gear.
The other thing I got was a used SB-800 Nikon flash that will work with both my D300 and the two film Nikons.
If I liked wide angle better, I'd want one more wide angle zoom, but as I don't, I won't.
The really pro lens is the 24-70 with VR and all that, but I really didn't feel like I could afford that.
