This was taken with my best Nikon lens, a 105mm IF ED AFS and VR lens, and cropped.
I'm finding that both zoom lenses I have tend to be a bit soft at the 70mm end, which is the far end for one of them and the short end for the other. I've now got 4 lenses and two bodies, one digital and one film. I guess they'll do at 70mm for softer portraits.

Been thinking about how few women are active in the on-line photo forums, too, and wondering if Dreamwidth has or wants to have a photo group with more women in it.
Also remembering, re a discussion elsewhere, a male poet in the 60s who said in print that what readers (male, I assume, for the most part) want from women poets is to hear how it felt to be fucked. As a young woman poet, I really preferred Marianne Moore and Elizabeth Bishop to the beat women and especially to people like Sarah Teasdale and Edna St. Vincent Millay. And it took me a while to come to terms with Emily Dickinson because of all the cotton batting wrapped around her by her male proponents.
